RCI recently announced that Gordon Gurnik has expanded his leadership role to oversee RCI for Europe, Middle East, Africa and India (EMEAI) in addition to his current role as the head of North America. This will enable the company to combine and leverage the strengths of both regions to grow the business globally.
Gurnik is a veteran of RCI who began his career over 20 years ago in RCI’s Indianapolis Call Centre and who has been leading both North America operations, as its President, as well as RCI’s efforts to transform the holiday exchange experience of its members through new programmes, innovations and technology enhancements.
As a result of this closer alignment between the two regions, Jonathan Back, Managing Director of RCI EMEAI, has left the company to pursue new career opportunities. Paul Carter has assumed leadership of RCI Europe and the Middle East, and RCI’s Business Development teams for Europe and the Middle East remain unchanged, led by Dimitris Manikis and his team of regional directors.
RCI continues to expand across the globe, with 58 new affiliations signed in the first half of 2010 alone. The company has also introduced new programmes such as the RCI Points Platinum membership, and invested in technology innovations, including the launch of RCI TV. RCI plans to continue to grow its presence in Europe and support the development of timeshare across the continent.
