Hapimag has completed the renovation of its resort in Binz on the island of Rügen in Germany and the expansion of the resort of Tonda in Tuscany, two major projects carried out in cooperation with Swiss architect Pia Schmid.
The deserted historic village of Tonda, located between Siena and Florence, was taken over by Hapimag in 1974 and converted into a resort. This year, Hapimag added an extension with 19 new deluxe apartments as well as what is known as a “casaccia”, a central social and cultural point for the resort combining a bar, reception, market and restaurant.
In Binz, the focus of the renovation was a newly designed wellness area, which features an adventure pool with waterfall and an ice fountain, as well as three sauna areas and a relaxation room with views of the Baltic sea. The kitchens and bathrooms of the resort’s 186 apartments have also been renovated to provide a luxurious atmosphere.
