Reigning champion and hot favourite, Master Minded, defended its crown in style, cruising to victory at this year’s Seasons Holidays Queen Mother Champion Chase at the Cheltenham Festival.
In an interview with Racing UK prior to the race, Barry Hurley, Chairman of Seasons Holidays, was confident that Ruby Walsh and Master Minded would repeat last year’s “stellar performance”. He said: “It’s difficult to see how Master Minded could get beaten”.
This year, Seasons Holidays teamed with Tote Jackpot to offer Festival goers the opportunity to ‘win a lifetime of free holidays’. Tote customers who correctly selected six winners on any day of the Festival had a chance to win more than £100,000 and a two-week or one-week Seasons Holidays membership
Seasons Holidays became the first ever sponsors of the world famous Queen Mother Champion Chase in 2007. The race features the quickest steeplechasers in the sport, running at full tilt over two miles and 12 fences.
