New Year message from the Chairman
On behalf of everybody at the Resort Development Organisation (RDO), I would like to wish you all a happy and prosperous 2011! The difficult times may still be lingering, but there are also many positives to help us through the new year.
This is a promising year for the timeshare industry in Europe, as we will finally see new legislation implemented, which should create a level playing field across the EU and benefit everyone, if enforced correctly.
Thanks to this, we can now concentrate our efforts on raising awareness and communicating positive messages about timeshare and fractional ownership. RDO will continue to do so through the media, social networks and our websites, and I would like to encourage you to do the same and help spread the good word. Remember, we are stronger together!
It is also important that RDO members continue to support the Enforcement Project, or consider ways of doing so in future, now that the responsibility for funding this has been passed on to the Timeshare Partnership Trust (TPT). Your support is greatly appreciated and can make a huge difference in the fight against fraud.
Finally, I look forward to meeting as many of our members as possible through the year on my travels, and of course at RDO2 in Marbella next September!
