RDO has launched a TV advertising campaign to raise the organisation’s profile and educate consumers about timeshare and the importance of buying through an RDO member.
RDO’s Chief Executive, Paul Gardner Bougaard, explains: “With new legislation expected to be in place during the course of 2011, our role as a lobbying organisation has been refocused and we decided to place more emphasis for this year on raising awareness of all aspects of vacational ownership amongst consumers.”
On a pilot campaign carried out last year, 20-second ads were aired ten times a day on Sky’s Travel Deals Direct. For 2011, the campaign will have a much wider reach with more than 300 spots featured on the Travel Channel, Discovery History, National Geographic, National Geographic Wild, Travel and Living and Sky News channels.
