Central London law firm Gregory Rowcliffe Milners today announces a number of changes to its structure and branding following the recruitment of two new partners.
In January, Adrian Harris and Alper Deniz joined the firm as partners from Brown Rudnick LLP. Between them they bring 28 years’ experience in large US law firms specialising in finance, insolvency and financial restructuring, areas that until now, the firm has been unable to offer at this level.
Their arrival has resulted in the creation of a new management structure for the firm. Adrian Harris becomes Chief Executive Officer and Alper Deniz, Chief Operating Officer. Jane Laidler and Chris Harper, the firm’s previous joint managing partners since 2005, take on the roles of Chairman and Finance Partner, respectively.
A new international specialist has also been recruited. Greg Davidian is a corporate and commercial lawyer with specific expertise in financial services and many years’ experience as in-house counsel to a number of German companies. He is a dual-qualified Solicitor /Rechtsanwalt and is bi-lingual in German and English. His arrival will further boost the firm’s strong inward investment practice which has an extensive and growing client base in Germany, Italy, France, Korea and the USA.
As part of a programme of developments the firm will now practise under the name "GRM Law", although it will retain "Gregory Rowcliffe Milners" as the partnership name.
Commenting on these developments, CEO Adrian Harris said:
“These changes herald the beginning of an exciting new phase in the firm’s development. Although we will continue to focus on the firm’s key aims of providing outstanding service at competitive rates to our wide-ranging client base, we are also all aware that we need to make adjustments to ensure that we are able to remain responsive and flexible in today’s increasingly competitive legal market place. The changes we are making, which include an increased focus on the development of the firm’s practices, with the addition of finance and restructuring, will enable us to punch well above our weight.
The firm’s Chairman and previous Joint Managing Partner, Jane Laidler, added:
“The firm’s existing partners and staff are delighted to welcome our new colleagues. These are exciting times for us all and we look forward to a new phase in the development of our organisation.”
