Interval International has announced that several Caribbean dignitaries have joined the roster of prestigious speakers at the International Shared Ownership Investment Conference taking place at the Eden Roc Miami Beach Resort & Spa from October 24 – 26. They include Prime Minister Hon. William Marlin of St. Maarten; Hon. Edmund Bartlett, Minister of Tourism of Jamaica; and Hugh Riley, Secretary General and CEO of Caribbean Tourism Organization.
“We are honored to have these important decision makers participate in our upcoming conference,” said David C. Gilbert, Interval’s president. “As policymakers and influencers in the Caribbean tourism sector, they will offer valuable insights that conference attendees can apply in their own businesses and destinations.”
Taking part in the “Timeshare’s Economic Impact on Destination Markets” session, which will be moderated by Riley, these experts will discuss how shared ownership has positively impacted their local economies, while creating a reliable source of customers. Higher occupancy rates, longer lengths of stay, and repeat visitation, all contribute to making timeshare an important component of travel and tourism in vacation destination markets. Also participating in the panel is Rich Maladecki, president & CEO of Central Florida Hotel & Lodging Association, whose experience with timeshare projects outside the Caribbean will offer a U.S. perspective.
Joining Interval as patron sponsors are Allianz, Baker Hostetler, Capital One, Equiant, Fidelity National Timeshare, First American Title Insurance Company, Harbor Linen, and JMBM Global Hospitality Group.
