Chairman of DAE Global, Ramy Filo, has been appointed for another two year term as Chairman of GATE, the Global Alliance of Timeshare Excellence.
The announcement was made at the ARDA Annual Conference held in Las Vegas in April. GATE was established in 1999 by the leaders of timeshare associations in the United States, Canada, Latin America, Europe and the Middle East, Argentina, South Africa, and Australia to advance the growth and positive perception of the timeshare industry worldwide.
The organisation aims to coordinate the views of the timeshare industry and its suppliers, and maximise the contributions of the industry to the consumers of timeshare and vacation ownership.
Mr Filo’s appointment represents a vote of confidence in his leadership of the Alliance, which he has held for the past six years. This two-year appointment is the fourth consecutive appointment as Chairman for Mr Filo.
“I am honored to again be appointed Chairman of GATE, and to have the support of the global timeshare community,” he said. “GATE’s role as a global alliance is extremely important for the wider timeshare industry, as we work together on common goals and issues that affect our industry. “I look forward to another term leading this organisation with my international colleagues.”
