More about Ron
Ron has had an illustrious and varied career, having held the position of MD of RCI for many years and then taking an instrumental role in creating our current trade body, RDO, changing the fragmented structure of the European Timeshare Federation into the current model that exists today. He was subsequently invited to become chairman of RDO (then OTE) and many will remember him for his positive attitude, his sense of humour and his drive to bring about a change for good.
Ron was also extremely active outside of the timeshare industry and became non-executive director of a number of travel companies in the UK including Hoseasons Holidays and Holiday Autos. For a number of years he was also Chairman of the governing Council of the University of Nottingham in the UK.
More recently, Ron became involved in the Christel House charity, which educates children from very deprived backgrounds in South Africa, India, Mexico and Venezuela and he worked tirelessly to promote the charity.
A great lover of music, Ron held regular classical music events at Dingley Hall in Rutland in the UK for a 25-year period. Hugely popular, these attracted music lovers from around the world.
