Pearly Grey’s Ingane Yami Charity Golf Day Raises €18,000

The sixth annual Ingane Yami Charity Golf Tournament was held on Saturday 4th July at Golf Costa Adeje in Tenerife.

Organised by the staff at Pearly Grey Ocean Club, this prestigious event is now established as a firm favourite on the Tenerife golfing calendar.

This year Pearly Grey teamed up with its media partners OasisFM and Canarian Weekly to ensure that the tournament received the maximum exposure and gave more players and sponsors the opportunity to participate.  Through this collaboration Pearly Grey achieved more than it expected.

There were a record number of players who registered and on the day 27 teams totalling 108 players competed in the highly successful and thoroughly enjoyable tournament.

The event attracted 40 sponsors in total, including a number of RDO members and over €18,000 has been raised.

Ingane Yami is a non-profit organisation established in response to the growing AIDS crises in KwaZulu Natal, South Africa. Ingane Yami (meaning “My Child” in isiZulu) exists to rescue orphaned and abandoned children trapped in vulnerable circumstances and raise them in a loving family environment in order to restore their lives.
