Wayqey Hotel and Wayqey Lodge choose Interval International’s global exchange network

Interval International has affiliated Wayqey Hotel and Wayqey Lodge, two shared ownership properties in the Andes Mountains of Peru. This region is renowned for iconic archaeological sites, including the Sacred Valley of the Incas and Machu Picchu, the Lost City of the Incas.

“From the beginning, our vision for these resorts was to capture the magic of the local culture and translate it into authentic vacation experiences that visitors could enjoy,” said José Antonio Iturrizaga, general manager of Comercializadora de Inversiones Sirius SAC.

“Peru has established itself as one of the world’s most interesting and unique destinations and we are excited to add the Wayqey properties, with easy access to the ancient sites at Machu Picchu,” said Marcos Agostini, Interval’s executive vice president of business development.

The Wayqey Hotel is in the heart of the historic center of Cusco, a Spanish colonial city that was once the capital of the Incan empire. On-site amenities include a 24-hour front desk, a concierge, and room service from the hotel’s restaurant and bar. At the end of a day of sightseeing, guests can relax on the seventh-floor terrace, where there are panoramic views of the city. The property is steps away from the Inca Museum, the Qorikancha temple to the Incan Sun God, and artisan shops in the San Blas neighborhood.

Sister property Wayqey Lodge is located in the Sacred Valley of the Incas, just outside of the nearby village of Urubamba, and features 14 two-bedroom units with a rustic decor. Each includes a kitchen, dining and living areas, cable TV, and Wi-Fi. Nearby are the important landmarks in Pisac and Ollantaytambo, where visitors can also take the train to majestic Machu Picchu.
