In the first six months of the year the total sales of the Hapimag Group increased by 1.6% to EUR 86.9 million (previous year EUR 85.5 million). Guests took advantage of the wide variety of offers and services available during their holidays, resulting in a 6.7% increase in sales at the 57 resorts and residences to EUR 33.4 million (previous year EUR 31.3 million). The four Swiss resorts of Ascona, Flims, Interlaken and Andeer improved their sales by 3.5% to EUR 3.7 million.
Sales of right-of-residence products also developed very positively: they were approximately 6% higher than the previous year at EUR 19.2 million (previous year EUR 18.2 million). The Swiss market registered an increase of over 15% to EUR 2.2 million. The German market also saw an increase to EUR 9.2 million (previous year EUR 8.0 million). Overall, the EBIT of the Hapimag Group was EUR 1.4 million (previous year EUR 1.9 million).
The occupancy at all 57 resorts and residences increased to 63.8% (previous year 61.2%). Due to the high Swiss franc, the Swiss resorts registered a slight decline with an occupancy of 70.0% (previous year 71.2%). The resort in Ascona achieved the highest occupancy in Switzerland at 81.3%, followed by the resort in Flims at 75.6%. The Austrian resorts were able to benefit from the strong franc, with occupancy increasing to 63.8% (previous year 62.5%).
