Interval International is a sponsor of the Annual Convention of the Mexican Resort Development Association (AMDETUR) being held in Mexico City on June 20-22. Attendees will learn about the latest trends in shared ownership, including the evolution of the many different types of vacation products.
“We congratulate AMDETUR on the 25th anniversary of its founding and look forward to working with the association in the future,” said Marcos Agostini, Interval’s vice president of resort sales and service for Latin America. “Our company has long been committed to the growth of shared ownership in Mexico because it has a positive impact on the tourism industry.”
During the conference, David Gilbert, Interval’s executive vice president of resort sales and marketing, will participate in the “Vacation Ownership Industry Worldwide” session and Agostini will speak on the “Industry Update” panel. As part of the student liaison program, Gonzalo Maqueda, executive director of resort sales and service for Mexico, will discuss the results of Interval’s 2011 U.S. Membership Profile. The company also will host a luncheon for attendees that will feature guest speaker Ricardo Zorrilla, tourism and hospitality investment director at Cushman & Wakefield Mexico, who will talk about the “Tourism Investment Perspective in Mexico.”
