Two brand new hotels, both part of the Meliá Hotels International Group, will soon be coming to London and Paris.
The much-anticipated ME London Hotel opens this July at the site of the historic Marconi House building on the corner of Strand and Aldwych, and the Paris property, Meliá Defense Hotel, will begin welcoming guests in 2014.

The ME London Hotel has been designed by legendary architects Foster and Partners. Opening in time to welcome guests for the London Olympic Games, the 157-room property combines the historic London famous Marconi House with a new Portland Stone building.
The hotel will feature a unique pyramid shaped lobby area, fitness and business centres, complimentary Wi-Fi throughout, a rooftop bar with impressive views of Somerset House and the Thames, and a food and beverage offering from the fashionable New York restaurant, STK House.
ME London joins the ranks of British architect Sir Norman Foster’s signature projects which include the British Museum, Beijing Airport, and New York’s Hearst Headquarters. The property will also have "Biosphere Hotel" certification, like its sister properties the ME Madrid, ME Barcelona and ME Cancun.
The hotel will feature a signature VIP floor, “The Level”, which has been designed as an exclusive retreat where guests can enjoy complimentary cocktails, petit dejeuner, a separate check-in area and access to a private lounge.
Meliá’s other London property is the Meliá White House, next to one of London’s largest green spaces Regents Park, making ME London the second Meliá -branded property in the capital.
Meliá Defense Hotel in Paris, which is set to open in 2014, will be located in a new 20-storey building next to the Esplanade de la Defense metro station. Guests will be able to take in the wonderful views of the Arc de Triomphe and enjoy all the modern comforts and facilities the brand is famous for. Meliá currently has six properties in the French capital, under its Tryp and Meliá Hotels and Resorts brands.
