More than 100 entrepreneurs from across the Middle East and North Africa region were introduced to the different timeshare and fractional opportunities in the region at the Shared Ownership Masterclass hosted by RCI on 30 April at the Madinat Jumeirah in Dubai.
For the second year running, the interactive Masterclass was incorporated in the programme of the three-day AHIC (Arabian Hotel Investment Conference), the main annual conference for the hospitality industry in the region.
Global and regional experts from leading hospitality and shared ownership companies shared their experiences and discussed why shared ownership is so relevant in the Middle East today. Different panel sessions focused on product development strategies and trends, marketing and financial motivations.
The emphasis this year was in bringing more reality to the event through good live examples such as the case study of a successful shared ownership project in the region presented by Preben Vestdam of Valhalla Associates.
Shafi Sayed, Business Development manager for RCI ME based in Dubai, said: “Many developers seeking new ways to add value and distinction to their offering in a crowded and competitive marketplace can see the potential of the shared-ownership model in terms of return on investment but need reassurance as to the finer detail of operation, marketing and sales which is what they could take from our Masterclass.”
