Interval International will host the 15th Annual Shared Ownership Investment Conference on October 28 – 29 at the Eden Roc Miami Beach. The prestigious event provides a forum for prospective entrants, developers, hoteliers, lenders and service providers to hear about trends and opportunities, and explore the various shared ownership business models. One of this year’s sessions examines how product forms, which include traditional timesharing, resort conversions, fractional development, and private residence clubs, are evolving. The session will also address the increasing popularity of asset-light structures and fee for service.
“We’re excited to bring this event to South Beach for the first time in its 15-year history,” said Bryan Ten Broek, Interval’s senior vice president of resort sales and business development for the U.S., Canada, and Caribbean. “Interval created the conference to encourage interest and investment in shared ownership and it continues to be an excellent resource for participants to gain knowledge about this dynamic business. It also gives them a chance to network with timeshare developers, industry experts, and service professionals in every facet of the industry.”
Anthony Melchiorri, host of The Travel Channel’s Hotel Impossible, will be the featured speaker. Known for renovating and repositioning landmark properties, he will conduct a lively question and answer session. Mark Schaefer, among the world’s most recognized social-media authorities and author of best-selling books The Tao of Twitter, Return on Influence, and Born to Blog, will share his expertise with the hundreds expected to attend. Other speakers will include executives from Marriott Vacations Worldwide Corporation, Hyatt Residential Group, PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, and the American Resort Development Association.
Additional program highlights include discussions on the state of global tourism and the U.S. timeshare industry, Wall Street’s perspective on the industry, funding and marketing channels, and the popular “Meet the Leaders” session.
Joining Interval as patron sponsors are Aston Hotels & Resorts, BakerHostetler, Equiant, Fidelity National Timeshare, Foley & Lardner LLP, HVS Shared Ownership Services, Meridian Financial Services, and Preferred Residences.
