Hyatt Vacation Ownership Debuts First Property In Hawaii

Hyatt Vacation Ownership (HVO), an operating business of Interval Leisure Group (ILG) has announced the highly anticipated opening of the luxury Hyatt Kā’anapali Beach, a Hyatt Residence Club Resort. Located on one of Maui’s most sought-after beaches, the 131-unit property joins 15 other upscale shared ownership resorts marketed and managed by HVO. The project is a joint venture with an affiliate of Host Hotels & Resorts, Inc.

“It’s extremely gratifying to open our first resort in Hawaii in a nearly impossible-to-duplicate site and offer our members and guests an incomparable vacation experience,” said John Burlingame, president of HVO, the operator of Hyatt Residence Club. “We’re excited that owners, who have purchased in the past year, will now be able to enjoy every aspect of the Hyatt Kā’anapali Beach, from the striking design to the elegant interior decor to the lavish amenities.”

Craig M. Nash, ILG’s chairman, president, and CEO, added, “We’re very proud to celebrate the opening of this remarkable resort, in partnership with Host Hotels & Resorts. We expect this project to be a meaningful contributor to HVO.”

Hyatt Kā’anapali Beach shares 1,800 feet of beachfront and 40 tropical acres with the award-winning Hyatt Regency Maui Resort & Spa. Spacious one-, two-, and three-bedroom residential-style accommodations have expansive lanais, fully equipped gourmet kitchens, handcrafted dining tables, widescreen HD LED TVs, and sleeper sofas. Most of the units have breathtaking ocean views and the remainder feature vistas of the West Maui Mountains.

Extensive amenities include an 8,000-square-foot open-air lobby; beachfront Pau Huaka’i tiki bar; Lahaina Provision Company marketplace; lagoon pool, with zero-entry children’s area; separate infinity pool; Day Lounge relaxation areas, with TVs, Wi-Fi, showers, and lockers; and a 3,000-square-foot state-of-the-art fitness center. Members and guests can also access the adjacent Hyatt Regency Maui Resort & Spa and its array of services and amenities, including restaurants, bars and lounges, pools, waterslide, beach activities center, fitness facilities, the only oceanfront spa on Maui, a full-service salon, Camp Hyatt, Kā’anapali golf courses, and boutique shops and galleries.
