Interval International and Participating Resort Partners Mark 10th Anniversary of Support to Caribbean Hotel & Tourism Association Education Foundation
Interval International and its participating member resorts recently made a $30,000 donation to the Caribbean Hotel & Tourism Association Education Foundation (CHTAEF) at Caribbean Travel Marketplace in Puerto Rico.
Neil Kolton, Interval’s director of resort sales and service for the Caribbean and Florida, presented the check to foundation executives during the opening ceremony of the event.
Nearly 30 resorts across 13 countries made donations to this year’s fundraising efforts, including:

Aruba – Caribbean Palm Village Resort, La Cabana Beach Resort and Casino, Marriott’s Aruba Surf Club, Paradise Beach Villas, and Renaissance Aruba Resort & Casino
Bahamas – Island Seas Resort
Bermuda – The St. George’s Club
Cayman Islands – Morritt’s Tortuga Club, Seven Mile Beach Resort
Curaçao – The Royal Sea Aquarium Resort
Dominican Republic – VIK Hotel Cayena Beach
Jamaica – Sunset Beach Resort & Waterpark, The Oasis at Sunset
Mexican Caribbean – Laguna Suites Golf & Spa, Ocean Spa Hotel, and Westin Lagunamar Ocean Resort
Puerto Rico – Aquarius Vacation Club® at Boquerón Beach, Aquarius Vacation Club, Dorado del Mar Beach and Golf Resort, ESJ Towers, and Hyatt Hacienda del Mar.

The CHTAEF was established in 1987 as a non-profit,tax-exempt organization through which scholarships and special assistance would be made available for the education of Caribbean hotel industry personnel and students pursuing careers in tourism. As part of its mission, it provides people throughout the region with an awareness of the industry’s varied career opportunities, as well as technical and professional development. To date, the CHTAEF has awarded approximately US$2 million in scholarships and grants to applicants who demonstrate a strong commitment to the hotel and tourism industry.
