Pearly Grey Ocean Club in Tenerife is celebrating after being accredited with 2015 RCI Gold Crown status. The Award is the highest of the three RCI Award designations, which were created to recognise and reward resorts that meet or exceed specific RCI quality criteria and standards in the areas of unit housekeeping, unit maintenance, hospitality and check-in/check-out procedures. An evaluation of resort facilities, amenities and services is also part of the recognition process.
Pearly Grey’s award comes in recognition of an extensive refurbishment programme that has seen all the resort’s 112 studio, one- and two-bedroom apartments up-scaled to a very high standard.
Striving to be better
The resort is situated in an idyllic location overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and offering uninterrupted views across to the picturesque island of La Gomera. Located in the village of Callao Salvaje, it is just ten minutes drive from Playa de Las Americas and 20 minutes from the airport.
Justine Banister-Day, the resort’s sales manager, said: “Pearly Grey’s initiative of growth and reinvestment has culminated in increased client satisfaction and higher sales volumes. The experience we provide to our owners and guests relates directly to our Gold Crown status, it reinforces our belief and business model and provides the focus to continually strive to serve and be better.”
Resort manager Ana Alvarez added: “RCI Gold Crown accreditation is a reflection of the dedication and professionalism shown by all staff at Pearly Grey, a common work ethos that equates to success and creates a resort we can all be proud of.”
