Board & Councils

The Management Board is made up of leading figures from the industry who are responsible for the overall policy, strategy and governance of the organisation. Separate councils have been established to focus on special areas, namely communications and legislation. Each is chaired by a Board member and is responsible for recommending policy to the Board.

The Legislative Council

The Legislative Council monitors and makes representations on upcoming legislation that applies to its members, working closely with governments and other stakeholders in Europe to bring about an outcome that is is fair both for the industry and for consumers. It provides guidance to members on new laws, outlining compliance requirements, any variations amongst Member States and dates of implementation. The Council makes recommendations to the Board on the code of ethics and is responsible for the RDO Enforcement programme, set up to target fraudulent companies that target timeshare owners

The Communications Council

The Communications Council handles every aspect of the Organisation’s communications. Its main role is to build the timeshare brand, improve consumer confidence in vacation ownership and increase awareness of RDO itself. It protects the use of the RDO name and logo and is responsible for directing the organisation’s media strategy and managing the production of all publications as well as the web site.
