Changes ahead for RDO e-News

Welcome to what will be the last issue of RDO e-News in its current format, as the Resort Development Organisation (RDO) announces changes to the way it keeps members and the wider timeshare community informed about the latest industry news and the organisation’s own activities.

From 23 August, RDO e-News subscribers will receive a weekly RSS feed with the latest industry news. Anybody who has news on key developments, acquisitions, appointments, new products and services, or anything else they would like to share with other timeshare professionals should send the information to smcnicol@rdo.org for inclusion in the weekly news feed.

And from September, RDO members will receive a new monthly e-bulletin: the RDO Insider, containing an update on the latest RDO activities and initiatives relevant to members, as well as insightful comment from RDO and other key industry figures on the main issues affecting the vacation ownership and the wider tourism sectors.

Explaining the thinking behind the changes, RDO’s Chief Executive, Paul Gardner Bougaard, said: “We live in a fast moving news environment, so it is essential to have more frequent updates on what’s happening in the industry, which the RSS feed will provide. At the same time, we hope the RDO Insider will provide a platform for a deeper debate on important issues, and strengthen our relationship with our members. We hope our members and RDO e-News subscribers will enjoy the changes and will welcome their feedback.”
