Hilton Grand Vacations celebrates rebrand of two resorts in Spain’s Canary Islands
Hilton Grand Vacations Inc celebrated the rebranding of two resorts in Spain’s Canary Islands with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at both Royal Sunset Beach Club, a Hilton Vacation Club in Playa de Fañabé, Tenerife and Sunset Harbour Club, a Hilton Vacation Club in Costa Adeje, Tenerife.
Royal Sunset Beach Club and Sunset Harbour introduced their new Hilton Vacation Club branding on July 15, capping multi-year renovations while the resorts remained open and operating for members and guests. The ribbon-cutting ceremonies mark the official celebration of that milestone. The two resorts have been part of the Hilton Grand Vacations portfolio since 2021, when the company acquired Diamond Resorts. Royal Sunset Beach Club sits one block from Playa de Fañabé and offers studio, one- and two-bedroom suites in a village-style setting. Sunset Harbour, geared toward families, features a kids’ pool and sits minutes from the Aqualand water park.
“It’s really important for us as we expand our global footprint, and we think about the reasons why we did these acquisitions over the last few years,” said Derek De Salvia, executive vice president and Chief Customer Officer of Hilton Grand Vacations. “It’s to offer more destinations across the globe to our members, and this really fits that part.”
Derek De Salvia; Kevin Speidel, senior vice president of resort operations; and Suzana Gomercic, senior vice president of resort operations for Europe, joined local authorities and members of the community to commemorate this milestone. Together, the two properties mark Hilton’s entry into the Canary Islands market as part of a broader HGV initiative to rebrand several of its European properties while the company continues its expansion.
The Tenerife rebrand reflects HGV’s continued investment in its global portfolio. The company has approximately 200 resorts across the U.S., France, Italy, Canada, Mexico and Austria, serving more than 720,000 members and owners.
