Anfi Emerald Club resort has become a ‘hotel on call’ for emergency situations
Anfi Emerald Club is a ‘hotel on call’ for emergency situations for professionals such as flight crews, health personnel, transport workers, professionals of the State Security Forces and for some tourists who, in exceptional circumstances, may need to spend a few days in the hotel.
The Emerald Club is one of the 14 hotels in the Canary Islands designated to help alleviate exceptional cases in this emergency situation. The Anfi Group clarifies that the resort is not open for holiday makers; on the contrary, it is open in accordance with the ministerial order to provide assistance in exceptional cases. The hotel is not open for the confinement of patients; it is not acting as a hospital hotel. It is a resort to accommodate people in one-off situations”.
The Anfi Emerald Club has made available one hundred apartments, with a minimum staff of approximately 15 persons who are in charge of reception, maintenance and cleaning tasks. The Anfi Group is one of the resorts that stepped forward and offered its hotels and staff to assist in this current emergency situation.
“This is a small contribution that we are making in order to fight this pandemic situation; one of the many contributions that are happening around the country, where the true heroes are the healthcare professionals who are doing such valuable work. Only by working together will we put an end to this virus”.
The apartments are prepared and the Anfi Group has already received the first of the airline flight crews who have stayed overnight in the hotel, leaving the following day, as the resort is not open as a conventional hotel.
