It has come to our attention that business calling itself Timeshare Council and using the website www.timesharecouncil.co.uk has been cold calling consumers – some of which are registered with the Telephone Preference Service. Their methods are deceitful and unlawful. They appear to imply that they are representing the registered company Timeshare Council Limited – company registration number 02513123, which was incorporated in 1990. This is a fraudulent claim. The website deliberately withholds information regarding ownership and other details required by law. RCI announces agreement to acquire DAE
RCI has reached an agreement with vacation group Beneficium to acquire DAE Global Pty Ltd. (DAE), operator of timeshare exchange company Dial An Exchange and software company @Work International. Both companies are based in Australia. The deal is subject to customary conditions precedent, including receipt of applicable regulatory approval. Four charged over alleged holiday fraud
Frank Madden, Claire Garland, Keith Furneval and Jean Furneval have been charged in connection with an alleged holiday fraud and appeared at Poole Magistrates’ court on Thursday 13th July. An initial hearing takes place in Bournemouth Crown Court in August. Consumer complaints were made to the RDO Timeshare Task Force, which is managed by KwikChex, about the activities of Frank Madden and his business Glenleigh Consultants and information was subsequently provided to Trading Standards about the activities taking place.
