Timeshare Developer Hedley Rhodes dies

We are very sad to report the sad loss of Hedley Rhodes on the 31st of May. Hedley passed away suddenly but peacefully surrounded by his family at Bradford Royal Infimary in his beloved Yorkshire after a short illness.

Hedley Rhodes was the Developer and Founder of Club Olympus along with his business partner Mike Green.

He began his business life as a golf professional then became a wool merchant before moving into home improvement, property development, timeshare and then property in general.

His sons Ivan, Tony and Peter, along with daughter Jodie, who continue to run the family business, are devasted at the loss of a vibrant, funny, caring, family orientated man who always put other people first.

He loved the timeshare and holiday business, he thoroughly enjoyed seeing people having a great time at his resort. Hedley was always comfortable at the Olympus Poolside bar with his wife Jane,  talking to his owners and guests who rapidly became friends.

A hallmark of Club Olympus has been the relationship that Hedley had with his owners and hopefully we as a family can keep that going as a testimony to him.

Hedley very much supported the OTE and now the RDO, he made great friends with other Developers in the Canary Islands and elsewhere and counted it a privilege to be a part of that organisation, indeed being a founder member.

There will be a memorial service for Hedley on Friday, June 14th 12 noon at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnessses, Coach Road, Baildon Nr Bradford, BD17 5HR. All welcome.

And a second Memorial Service will be held in Tenerife at the “Salon Del Reino, Testigos De Jehova” Tjico Bajo, Adeje, at 11am on the 22nd of June. All welcome.
