Anfi del Mar beach reopens amidst high hopes and strict safety protocols
The Anfi del Mar beach has just reopened with high hopes and with a rigorous disinfection protocol to receive its first bathers, in another step towards the “new normality” during this Covid-19 crisis. In order to guarantee the maximum safety for bathers, comprehensive cleaning guidelines have been established for the sand, the sunbeds, and for the facilities such as the showers, bathrooms and communal areas.
“The maintenance of Anfi del Mar, which has always been very scrupulous, will be increased in order to provide all health guarantees”, announced the Anfi Group. This reopening will involve changes decreed by the Town Hall of Mogán, which are compulsory in order to avoid any possible transmission of the virus. The principal measures are the opening hours for using the beach, and the limited capacity. The beach will be open to the public from 10.30 to 20.00 hours; a timeframe that has initially been introduced on a temporary and exceptional basis.
In keeping with this new protocol, the entrance and exit to the beach are independent and have been clearly signposted, and we are relying on a sense of individual responsibility for respecting the social distance of at least two meters. Use of the beach will be by specific sectors. There are areas of 2×2 meters delimited for individual use or for couples, and other areas of 2×5 meters for families or groups of up to 5 people. At the same time, the Mogán Tourism Council will redouble police presence in order to supervise the implementation of these rules and regulations, which will also be announced over loud-speakers. Sports activities such as volleyball, racket ball, or football etc, are forbidden, as are the use of inflatables, beach chairs and tables.
This reopening is a new step forward in the return to normality, and follows the reopening of the Anfi Tauro Golf Course and its luxury villas.
