Anfi Group’s safety protocols against legionella stricter during lockdown period

Each week, the Anfi Group turns more than 5,000 water taps on and off as a protocol against legionella in its resorts. The mandatory tourism closedown obliges this resort, which operates in the south of Gran Canaria, to intensify maintenance tasks, among which are the monitoring of the hot and cold water pipes and the analysis of the parameters of the swimming pool water.  The company has retained a small team of maintenance staff who are in charge of turning all of the water taps in the hotels on, one by one, and letting the water run for five minutes to prevent the occurrence of legionella, since its inhalation can cause Legionnaires’ disease, a severe form of pneumonia. Anfi del Mar beach reopens amidst high hopes and strict safety protocols

The Anfi del Mar beach has just reopened with high hopes and with a rigorous disinfection protocol to receive its first bathers, in another step towards the “new normality” during this Covid-19 crisis. In order to guarantee the maximum safety for bathers, comprehensive cleaning guidelines have been established for the sand, the sunbeds, and for the facilities such as the showers, bathrooms and communal areas. “The maintenance of Anfi del Mar, which has always been very scrupulous, will be increased in order to provide all health guarantees”, announced the Anfi Group. Anfi Emerald Club is a 'hotel on call' for emergency situations for professionals such as flight crews, health personnel, transport workers, professionals of the State Security Forces and for some tourists who, in exceptional circumstances, may need to spend a few days in the hotel. The Anfi Group donates gloves and masks to help fight the coronavirus

The Anfi Group has recently donated approximately 6.000 disposable gloves and nearly 2,000 masks so that they can be used in the different health centers and hospitals of Gran Canaria in order to combat the spread of the coronavirus. Likewise, the company that has its resorts in the south of Gran Canaria has transferred several batches of surface disinfectant gel, according to a statement made by the Company. Anfi launches a preventive campaign against coronavirus between its staff and customers

The Anfi Group has just launched a prevention campaign against the coronavirus in order to avoid possible infections, as it did in the past in similar cases such as Influenza A. The company, which has over a thousand workers and 2,000 clients accommodated per week in its resorts, has launched, with immediate effect, the preventive campaign: 'Without contact, there is no infection'. Through this initiative, employees are recommended to avoid any type of physical contact such as shaking hands, kissing or hugging, both among colleagues and with third parties, according to the memorandum.
